You have been given one week to write a ten page paper and you aren’t quite sure how to tackle it. Ten pages is a lot. And the professor wants you to use a uniform font size and style which means that you have a lot of writing to do. It can easily be done in a week by following these seven steps.
DAY ONE: DECIDE ON YOUR TOPIC
You will initially have to do a little research to decide what topic you are going to write about. Make sure that the topic that you choose has enough information on it to write a ten page paper but not too much that you have to write a book on it.
DAY TWO: OUTLINE
You need to create a solid outline. This should be detailed enough so that you can easily know what to research. Your outline should contain an introduction and conclusion and three main points. Each of these main points should be broken down into two supporting points each with their own set of two to three facts.
Introduction
Body Paragraph One
A. Reason one
a. Supporting fact with reasoning
b. Supporting fact with reasoning
B. Reason two
a. Supporting fact with reasoning
b. Supporting fact with reasoning
Body Paragraph Two
C. Reason one
c. Supporting fact with reasoning
d. Supporting fact with reasoning
D. Reason two

d. Supporting fact with reasoning
Body Paragraph Three
E. Reason one

f. Supporting fact with reasoning
F. Reason two
e. Supporting fact with reasoning
f. Supporting fact with reasoning
Conclusion
DAY THREE: FINALIZE YOUR THESIS
Your thesis is going to be the main portion of your paper. It is the reason why you are writing your paper and it is what you are trying to prove. The reasons should be the three body paragraphs above that you have drawn a conclusion from.
DAY FOUR: RESEARCH
This is the day that you will find your sources, take notes, and gather all of the information that you will need to write you paper.
DAY FIVE: ROUGH DRAFT
Use your outline to start writing your paper. Be sure to add some quotes and actual facts that you have found in your research.
DAY SIX: PROOFREAD AND EDIT
Spend the day proofreading and editing your paper. You can have others read your paper as well and give you advice. Check your spelling and grammar and read your paper over and over to make sure that it has transitions and flows properly.
DAY SEVEN: FINAL DRAFT
The last day spent making all of the necessary changes and making sure that your paper is formatted correctly.
And that is how you take a ten page paper and get it done in seven days. Good luck.
